6 day old chick with broody mama

What behavior should I expect from a lone 6 day old chick with her broody hen?

The chick is still constantly under the hen. I haven’t seen the hen teach her to drink or eat. Although that could be happened my obviously when I’m not there.

The chick chirps underneath her. I have never seen the chick walking around outside of mom.

Is this normal? I’m just not sure if mom is still broody and just sitting and not teaching?

I ended up taking them out. They had been there over 25 days. But there is a new development….
I ended up getting 6 freshly hatched chicks. Last night I snuck them under my three broody hens and took all their older eggs.
I was wanting more chickens without having to raise them in a brooder in my house. I hope it works. So far so good (next morning).
