Country Road vs. Nature Wise egg production

I have 17 layers, and used to get about a dozen eggs / day in the winter. I've been feeding Country Road to the birds, but now in the last 3 weeks, the egg production has dropped to about 4 / day. Is anyone else having problems with your hens laying on Country Road feed? Anyone try Nature Wise and see consistent egg production?

I know quite a few farmers and private folks locally that have seen huge drops in egg production using Purina, but I'm wondering if the changes (I won't say they are doing this on purpose necessarily) to the feeds that are dropping egg production are making their way to these bigger brands now.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Most likely it's the age of your hens or the weather, depending on your climate. Lots of things can cause lower egg production. I would monitor over the next couple months.

And welcome to BYC 😃
