Coccidiosis

I have a flock of 12 hens ranging from 4yo to 1mo. They are free range on Dumor layer feed for the hens and chicks feed for the chicks. Last week I noticed some yellow foamy droppings and started a 9.6ml per gallon of Corid in their drinking water. After day 3 I put them back on regular water with Rooster Booster. Day 4 I found a dropping with blood so I drenched everyone with .1ml per lb and put Corid in their water again. Today is day 4 I’m seeing normal dropping with an occasional dark brown colored one that I’m not sure about. My question is (1) does this dropping look normal? (2) how many more days should I do the Corid and water (3) do I still do another drench at day 7? Thank you I’ve had chickens for 10years and this is our first Coccidiosis outbreak.

Put them on medicated water for 5 days, 2 days, then any vitamins.
Not continuing the medication long enough and then adding vitamins probably caused a flare up

I agree with @nuthatched that you need to redose and do it correctly this time. Do not stop early! I'm sure this is posted somewhere here, but I always follow the "severe" outbreak dosages regardless, and be sure to treat the entire flock. It won't hurt them, quite the contrary, and any eggs are fine to eat.

P.S. I'd only dose with any booster vitamins after full dosage is complete. Rooster Booster is fine but I doubt the probiotics in it do much, if anything, so also giving them some yogurt may help their digestive tracts recover more quickly.

Do you mean wait a couple days after treatment before giving vitamins? Is this to make sure the Corid is out of their systems? Thanks

Yes, sorry. I believe you have to give it a few days to monitor the poops

I went back through my history but couldn’t find where I had used that information when I first diagnosed them.
